We got to visit Black Moon Farm during our January 2026 trip. It is a small 9 hectares farm owned by Hunter Tedman, used to grow vegetables. In 2018, a few geishas was planted. There was difficulties with the soil and the use of fertilizers was not a good idea. Biodynamic didn’t work either. Then Hunter started to do analysis on the soil and used syntropic agriculture and agroforestry to increase its quality. The analysis helped him to understand which compound was missing. They make their own compost with specific addition.
He grows geisha, chorizo but also pink bourbon and wush wush.
